This Refund & Returns Policy applies to all purchases made from Retro Games, whether in-store or online. By completing a purchase, you agree to the terms outlined below.
We distinguish between:
- New products (factory sealed)
- Pre-owned / refurbished products (used, tested, and verified)
2. Change of Mind Returns
We understand that sometimes you may change your mind.
Eligibility:
You may return an item within 14 days of purchase if:
- The item is unused and in its original condition
- All packaging, manuals, accessories, and seals are intact
- You provide proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)
Important Notes:
- Opened new games (disc or cartridge) are not eligible for return unless faulty
- Digital products, codes, or downloads are non-refundable
- Pre-owned items may be returned only if they remain in the same condition as sold
Refund Method:
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
3. Faulty or Defective Items
If a product is faulty, damaged, or not functioning as expected, we will make it right.

4. Pre-Owned & Retro Items
Retro Games specializes in pre-owned and vintage gaming products. Due to the nature of these items:
- Cosmetic wear (minor scratches, discoloration, etc.) is not considered a fault
- All items are tested before sale to ensure functionality
- Any major defects will be clearly disclosed in product descriptions
Returns for retro items are accepted only if:
- The item is not as described, or
- It develops a verified fault within the return window
5. Consoles & Hardware
For consoles, controllers, and accessories:
Returns Accepted If:
- The item is faulty or defective
- The wrong item was supplied
- The item is significantly not as described
Not Accepted If:
- The console has been modified, opened, or tampered with
- Damage is caused by improper use (e.g., power surges, liquid damage)
We recommend retaining original packaging for at least 30 days.
6. How to Initiate a Return
To start a return:

Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.

- Retro Games is not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments
8. Inspection & Processing
Once we receive your return:

- You will be notified of approval or rejection

9. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Digital downloads or activation codes
- Gift cards
- Opened new games (unless faulty)
- Items marked as Final Sale
10. Exchanges
We offer exchanges for:

- Incorrect items sent
Exchanges for different products (change of mind) are subject to stock availability and approval.
